SEND’s commitment to Public Space
A significant part of improving the quality of life for our neighborhood residents is a commitment to the quality of our public spaces. We work with neighborhood associations and community partners, including Reconnecting to our Waterways and the Greater Virginia Avenue Corridor EID, to create and sustain a number of public spaces in Southeast including the Fountain Square Plaza and fountains, Barth Street Bridge, Fletcher Place Gateway. These efforts create spaces for art, music and play enjoyed by neighbors and visitors.
