Live in Southeast Indy
SEND offers affordable living minutes from downtown Indy.
Empowering homebuyers with affordable housing options
Southeast Neighborhood Development (SEND), in partnership with the City of Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership (INHP), is developing and building new single-family homes in the Norwood neighborhood for sale to low-income buyers at or below 80% of the Area Median Income. SEND has worked closely with Norwood residents and the Norwood neighborhood association to create a residential development plan that will bring new neighbors and revitalize the 1200 block of Madeira and Vandeman Street.
Note: All SEND homes are constructed with the assistance of Federal grant funding and will require a recapture agreement that includes a requirement to pay back a portion of those funds if the homebuyer sells the home in a pre-determined amount of time. Currently the length of the recapture agreement ranges between 5 and 15 years and the amount ranges between $1,001 and $10,000 dollars.
